A Place for Music, Inc. is a nonprofit in formation working toward 501(c)(3) status. We're currently raising seed capital to fund the founding year of the L.E.A.R.N. WindStars Program — covering our first Mobile Eco-Acoustic Lab unit, iPad and instrument procurement, and program launch costs.
Your donation doesn't buy a chair or a desk. It buys a field microphone, a Nuvo wind instrument, or a child's first session inside a real recording environment. Every dollar goes directly into the program.

We're actively building relationships with schools, community centers, arts organizations, parks, and mission-aligned companies. A partnership with A Place for Music means your space, resources, or network directly connects to a program that produces real results for Mississippi youth.
Schools & districts
We're seeking Title I schools and district administrators interested in a B2B service contract for mobile music instruction during or after school hours
Community venues
Arts centers, community centers, parks departments, and Boys & Girls Clubs that want to host mobile lab sessions for local youth
Corporate sponsors
Businesses whose CSR commitments align with youth education, music, environmental stewardship, or STEAM — we have named sponsorship packages available
We are recruiting a five-member governing board and an advisory council. This is early-stage work — meaningful, not ceremonial. Board members will shape the organization's structure, open institutional doors, and help steward the resources that make the program possible.
We are specifically looking for people who can fill one of the following strategic roles:
Treasurer
CPA, corporate controller, or bank officer with nonprofit financial experience
Secretary
Legal professional or corporate paralegal experienced in nonprofit governance
Institutional ally
A school district insider, educator, or academic administrator who can open institutional doors
Development chair
A philanthropic consultant, corporate PR professional, or major donor with fundraising networks
